Running to Church - March 6, 2017

Hola!

This week has been quite a week. Again, I had to go to Managua for a consejo de lideres, and I think I am going to have to go this week too for a trainers' meeting. Yay for crowded Nicaraguan buses. Anyways, this week was really awesome. We found some really awesome new investigators that are part of a member family, and they are doing awesome, so hopefully everything goes well with them.

Our hours got changed so we are still adjusting to that, but it is nice and it seems to be working better. Elder Bonilla and I are doing well and we are finding a lot of success here in good ole Granada. It keeps getting hotter every day, and I like rice less and less every day! But love it all!

Cool experience for the week (I have no idea how I changed the font to italic) we bring menos activos and our investigators to the church with the white family’s help in their truck. This week it was really awesome, but we filled up the truck, like there was people standing up in the back and it was just crazy full. it was so full and we were already late to church that Elder Bonilla and I couldn’t fit so we had to run to church to get there in time. I will count that for my exercise this week! :) Life is just awesome here and I am learning so much. I know that this is the Lords work and His church! I love Him and am so grateful to serve here! Thanks for all that you all do! Have an awesome week!

Rats and Becoming Nicaraguanese - February 27, 2017

Hola todos!

This week was a pretty good week! I will give you the run-down of what happened: Tuesday we went to Managua for a multi zone conference which was really good like normal (President Brown is the man), Wednesday I went on divisions with the Zone Leaders which was fun and I learned a lot.

Friday, we had interviews with President which were awesome too, and then Saturday we had a ward activity which was also fun. This week I realized I am officially in the culture when they gave me some soup and I was excited to eat it. I remember when I first got her and it was absolutely disgusting. Well there you go. soy Nicaraguans.

I am just loving it here! I love Granada especially. Things are going well here and the work moves on. We have a couple of investigators and they are going well and they should be baptized in this coming month. Funny story: Sunday night I was closing the back door when a mouse ran in. I told Elder Bonilla and he lost his mind. He was up on shoes at it and I was chasing it around the room, and eventually he nailed it from across the room. it was pretty great. good time here! Have a great week!

Not a lot of time this week. In short we couldn't use our cyber, because ther was no room, so we had to go to the church, and the taxi driver tookl his time to get here. This week Elder Rasband visited us and it was really awesome! I will write more next week! Life is crazy here! Hope all is well!

Roll with the Changes - February 13, 2017

Hola!

This week was not how I expected it to go. First off Elder Brooks got changed, and I am now training. My new companions name is Elder Bonilla, he is from El Salvador. He is a really good guy and I will enjoy working with him. So that was not what I expected but hey life is good.

This week we had another baptism and that was really awesome! The new members name is Adriana and she is really awesome! She already has an awesome testimony and is an awesome member.

I had to switch back into Spanish mode this week, because Elder Bonilla doesn’t speak English, but that is good and I am excited to go back into Spanish 100% mode. We are still working with a lot of our investigators to get to baptism and things are coming along, and what can I say life is good! I almost totally forgot! Today is my 7-month mark. Que rapido. time is weird. this week we also have a multi mission, so that should be fun! I need to roll, but thank you all for everything! Why is the time always gone?
