Multi Zona - May 22, 2017

Hola todos!

Life has been crazy for the past few weeks so I haven’t gotten a ton of time to write... but here we are now! Life is going awesome right now! This week we had a multi zone in Managua. It was a super spiritual experience, and we learned so much. Then we worked the rest of the week like usual!

We are headed straight into the rainy season and it has rained every day for the past two weeks. at least it doesn’t rain all day! Things are going well with our investigators and we baptized a sister of one of our recent converts this week! Her name is Isabel and she is really awesome! It is so cool to see people progress and change their lives and be filled with the gospel! Well right now I’ve got to get going to Managua... we are doing divisions with the APs tomorrow, so because of the travel we have to leave tonight.

Thank you all for everything! I hope your week goes well!

Changes and Traveling! - May 8, 2017

Hola todos!

This week has been kind of crazy but a little normal at the same time. Wednesday was changes and Elder Scott got changed. My new comp is Elder Black from Montana. He is super cool and I am excited to be his comp. The only rough part was that for changes I had to go to Managua on Wednesday which is a 7-hour roundtrip journey. and then we got a text from the APs that we needed to go back the next day for the leadership council. Which equals another 7 hours of travel. It was good though because Elder Black and I got to talk and rest a little.

We have entered the rainy season hear and it rains every day. It is actually pretty nice because it cools down then. Things are going really well in the area and this weekend we have district conference with Pres Brown and Area Authority Seventy. That should be really cool. We have quite a few investigators and we are really trying to find some news this upcoming week. Funny story from this week is that we got the house fumigated for bugs and when we went back in after it was done in the kitchen there were like 30 cockroaches all over so I had to go crazy and kill them all with a broom and some permethrin. That was fun.

It has been a good week spiritually too. I finished reading Jesus The Christ again. It is a great book and I have really come to love and learn a lot from the New Testament and the Life of our Savior! I love Him and I am so grateful to serve him! Thank you all for everything! Have a great week!

Crazy Week - May 1, 2017

So I had to change house this week! So that has left us with little time! We got two baptisms this week for Ricardo and Yanelis! It was super cool and special! Hope all is well for you all!

Boaco Waterfalls - April 24, 2017

Hola Todos!

This week was pretty normal - not too much craziness. This week we did a lot of work and found a lot of great new investigators. We found a monkey while contacting which was pretty cool. I tried ceviche this week and it was not too great. Today we went to Boaco to drop off some materials and while we were there we got to go to a waterfall. That was a fun trip. I also went there on Friday for there district meeting that was fun too. This week pretty much was a blur so I'm not sure what happened. I'll take better notes next week! Thank you for all that you do!

Elder Erickson the Funeral Director - April 17, 2017

Hola Todos!

This week has been pretty chill. Monday night we got a call from a member and they asked us if we could go help with a funeral the next day, so we said we could and the next day was pretty wild. We ended up speaking at the funeral, and walking in the procession and helping dedicate the grave. It was an honor, and it was cool to help the people who were mourning.

Wednesday, we had divisions with the District leader in Boaco which were good. Thursday was a normal day of lots of work, and Friday we went to the Juigalpa district meeting and then planned for the week and worked the rest of the day. Saturday no one was home because for Easter everyone goes on vacation, so that was kind of a long day but all is well.

Sunday was a great Easter and it was nice just to really focus on the Savior and His resurrection. Today we got some good lunch and then bought some food and stuff to update the kitchen. I think I’ll be here for a while so I thought I would get the kitchen up to where I could actually cook. This week was great. Last week I think I forgot to mention that we had a baptism! Her name is Pauola and she is super cool! We are still working with some of our other investigators to help them be baptized by the end of this month.

This week I ate some really weird stuff. The "rocky mountain oysters" grilled were actually pretty good. they tasted just like beef but just had a weird texture. Then the next day the same lady gave us cow brain soup with the extra "rocky mountain oysters". That was disgusting. But hey now I have tried it so that’s cool. Hopefully this week will be great too! Thanks for everything!
